Jesse is the biggest piece of shit in all of breaking bad are you kidding me??
*His haircut is still 10/10*
I think Fiennes definitely should have won for best supporting actor, but he was a new and fairly young actor and Tommy Lee Jones was an industry veteran... so... politics. The basement scene struck me when I saw it as absolute genius. It was my favorite scene in the film because I WAS his maid in that moment under the power of a psychopath.
That's not a dilema, if i have to save my family or some strangers, I wouldn't hesitate for a second 😏 I would sacrifice the whole 8 billion in a blink of an eye!
Your observations are so appreciated. Ttank you. To be enlightened about this particular performance is good.
His performance in Red Dragon was absolutely terrifying. THIS role, however, was horrific.....because it happened in real life.
Should have won the Oscar.
Goth was embezzling money from the camp. They never got into that
Manipulates everyone except the dog whisperer Cesar Millan 😅
I actually forgot that in the end, pretty much everyone in the high level drug scene is dead. So in a way, Walt helped clear that up, or open the market up to little manufacturing and distribution networks rather than the huge conglomerate they had before.
You are amazing at this! The way you can read a character is incredible. I really enjoy your videos and it’s helping me create more in depth characters for my novel. You are truly appreciated.
It is a masterful performance - you really get a sense of who he was. Daniel Day Lewis also lives his roles.
Dope
Anyone that tries to sound like tgeyre smart but uses the stupid phrase gas lighting automatically looses credibility. Stopped it after the first time he said it
The disturbing thing about evil in the real world is how mundane the people are. What we often see on tv even in three dimentional villians arent always like the ones you are more likely to see. Not that there arent people who are comically evil but more often then not they are strangely unspecial and thats more disturbing
5:12 My brain: “Schultz! Get Hogan in here right now! Hmmmmff!” 😂
Glad you did this video. As horrifying as this character was, I thought this was one of the best acting jobs ever. The fact he didn't win the Oscar showed me that the Academy Awards was a joke.
The point is, family guy has some strange things happening like its shit post memes, you will think, "what!?" and than get a laugh out of it, even though most of the times the jokes aren't relatable, which makes it funny in a way like, "what if". Where as with Southpark, they take a problem os the world and make a episode of it, like the one with the homeless people and them taking them to California with the song California Love, not only is it a fact that California has problems with homeless, but its also funny that they use the 2Pac song with it. Basically, Family Guy is funny for it not being relatable and it being completely a non existence situation. Where as Southpark is funny for its relatable and its more existing situations (apart from the episode where they eat with their ass and shit out their mouth).
Ralph not getting the Oscar for best supporting and Tommy Lee Jones getting it is one of Hollywood's greatest injustices. Tommy Lee's performance was pedestrian compared to Ralph's.
Brilliant observations of the craft . Protagonists are well represented in this film . So much talent . Music score always is a massive assist. Kudos to your representation of the arts . Thanks from me George Papa A blue collar worker.
I've quickly become a massive fan of your channel. Thanks for your thoughtful work.
I agree with almost all you say, but would like to add just one thing. And that is that it is possible to end up feeling just the tiniest bit sorry for him because of his inability to relate to other humans in a normal way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that he wasn't one of history's worst monsters, but rather that that tiniest of bit of sympathy actually makes him seem even worse because he knew there was another way, but chose instead to behave as he did.
He was the protagonist of the movie and I'm glad the read the good book to understand the enemy.
If I'm not mistaken, Jurassic Park and Schindler's List were filmed simultaneously not one after the other.
I have a sleep problems and watching family guy helps me sleep since I don't have to focus on the story.
Very controversial view here. Seinfeld is not funny.
Not controversial at all, people either love it or hate it.
Nobody gets the best of Adam We.
"Die hard! Die hard!" - Summer
Super stardom is a bit of a stretch. Although, he should have been a super star.
EXCELLENT observations and analyses. Seriously, this is coming from someone who studied acting and performed over several decades; your attention to the details are very good. What so few "moviegoers" ever realize is just how many factors come into play during the filmmaking (or theatrical) process. Lighting... costuming... props... BLOCKING (actor movement)... pauses... vocal choices, timbres, tempos, etc. All of it. And then, of course, there are the choices which actors can make... if the director permits it. In the case of "Schindler's List", it did indeed appear as though Steven S. got the bloody heck out of the way and allowed a lot of organic nuances to fill the entire production. And what a film it was. Neeson's work was also exemplary. Entire cast and crew were obviously excellent as well--Kingsley too, of course.
FFS, can an English speaker once make a video about a German character where they actually bother to look up the damned name? What the shit do you think German does with a "th" when we don't have dental fricatives?!
You all know that Schindler's List was a book of fiction which won the Booker Prize. A literary award for the best single work of sustained fiction.
Great analysis! And it makes me wonder - where are the great actors of the coming generation? Because I have yet to see a fresh new Dinero, Fiennes, Hopkins, Thompson, Oldman, Weaver et al.
I don't find him intimidating at all. At the hart of it he just craves meaningfull human contact and respect.
Especially now with the HAMAS acting out their fantasies, this film is more than just a message. It's actually a warning
The funniest thing is you constantly giggling describing how Cartman abused Butters
It's a strike of genius (both from Fiennes and Spielberg) to introduce and play Göth as weak and whiney und not very capable, but also boyishly playful at times. This makes him very dangerous and unhinged, because we can feel his inferiority complex (especially towards Oscar). He's kind of a real world Joffrey Baratheon. It's paradoxical that his occasional bouts of humane behavior make him actually appear _less_ human in the end instead of more.
That was brilliant. I’ve always thought he was a great actor, but I never knew how deeply he immersed himself in this role.
Austin is becoming one of the best actors. All the hate he gets is so unwarranted and irrelevant. Compared to his Brad Pitt, Leo Decaprio, rob patterson, and Johnny Depp type actIng. He will win an Oscar in the near future. He reminds me of all of those actors I mentioned plus Cillian Murphy. All combined into one. Fucking legend.
Anchorman 2 was better than the first imo
This is one of the best movie analyses I have ever seen
Writing is difficult. Both series’ are charming and hilarious in their own way. If you don’t like one of them, don’t watch it, nobody is forcing you. They are doing two different styles and that’s okay, they’re different shows.
And for no particular reason whatsoever Hitler one day decided to genocide jews. Wonder why?
Honestly, out of all of his roles as villains (Amon Göth, Voldemort, Ramses II, etc), this is the best of all of the roles. Honestly, I’d say that this is his best role of all time
Honestly, I think that out of all of his villian roles (Amon Göth, Voldemort, Ramses II, etc), this is the best of all of his roles.
Larry fine just peed on his own shoes.
8:12 I think that, given the series lore, those two unidentified black males could also be potential candidates to whack Tony.
Why do you keep calling him Ray?
